“This is one of the highlights of my 18 day trip! Such a cool experience, the animals appeared to be safe, well cared, and content. My guide spoke excellent English. There were very few people there. Only hitch was I took an Uber to get there, not realizing how remote the sanctuary is. Would recommend arranging both to and from transportation so you don’t get stranded!”

“We enjoyed seeing the bridge and the history and tradition behind it. We also went on a boat ride down the gorge which was nice. The lakes and volcano - although nice to see did not add any value to the trip. The transport didn’t seem appropriate for the terrible roads and the ride was so bumpy and nauseating. The gap between breakfast and lunch was too long.”

“The guide was really interesting, passionate and the food was really good and there was a lot of variety. But he only spoke in spanish, no english even though we booked english. But the tour itself was poorly planed, the breakfast and the lunch were 9hours apart, we felt like the only thing that we were doing was traveling in bus. We had 2 hours to travel from the pick up to breakfast than another 1h30 to see the smallish volcano then 2 hours to get to the bridge, a small boat tour with no information whatsoever of the aditionnal fees then 2 hours to lunch then 2 hours back…”

“I'll be honest, I'm 5'11'' and I myself was way too big for the van...I felt pretty crunched up there, so for some, it may be an uncomfortable ride. Additionally, even though the guide was super nice, and did watch out for me, the majority of the tour was in Spanish, so i feel like I did miss out on a bit of the info, but luckily, I've been in Cusco long enough to previously know the main points/history. Having said that, the Qeswachaka is absolutely beautiful. The bridge, and the boat ride (Do IT!) was absolutely stunning. Just be aware, the drive is a bit of a hard drive...Not…”

“Waqra Pukara is brilliant. Jaw dropping location and scenery.There are different approach routes, ours was relatively short. Admin wise not so good - I booked through Get Your Guide and emailed a question to my provider two days in advance, no reply ever received. My impression is that folk booked through different agencies but as it’s not yet a popular site and numbers are low we were all lumped together. Be aware there could be some minor issues, but still go!”
