“The tour operator was incredibly unorganized. They woke me up at 3:45am one day before because they didn’t know which day it was. They say they pick you up at the hotel, that is a lie. Someone comes and walks you to the spot where the van is parked (in our case, around 6 blocks). It says the tour is for maximum 15 people, and they were 20. The van was very old, the air conditioning didn’t work, in general, in a very poor condition. Both breakfast and lunch were disgusting. The tour guide was nice and helpful, the place is stunning, but use a different operator.”

“Humantay lake trek was very enjoyable and a very nice exercise, but I can see how it can be a lot especially if you are older. There are horses available which will take you up the mountains up to a certain height for 80-90 soles. Our tour was the day after we came back from Machu Picchu so we were quite tired but managed to wake up on time and had a great time. One of the best tours during our trip Decided to take a day off after this trek (which we didn’t plan on but our schedule was quite packed to begin with) as it is quite demanding…”

“We had almost two hours of riding the ATVs and it was so much fun! Thankfully they were automatic vehicles so we didn’t have to worry about switching gears when driving up the hill. Be prepared for a dusty ride! Wear a face covering and sunglasses while you ride. The hike itself is VERY DIFFICULT! If you are not a frequent hiker or use to walking at high elevations this tour will be very hard to complete. Our tour guide was so nice and encouraging while we were hiking but we needed to make frequent stops to stretch and catch our breath. You may get light headed or have an…”

“This was a great way to see many fantastic sites. Our tour guides were excellent. The ease of getting our tickets and detailed itinerary the day before the scheduled event was definitely a plus. I would highly recommend this travel group as they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. We did have a couple small bumps in the road/ plan that were not ideal but overall this was a great experience. This itinerary may not be for everyone but there are many accommodations along the way. Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake were by far the hardest days but so worth it!! Just go with a great “I can do it” attitude.”
